Electrolytic Marking Equipment

The electrolytic marking procedure is based on an electrochemical process. The exact copy of a template is applied to a conductive component. The process causes the current and the electrolyte to react together to produce a mark. Depending upon the material and current selected, black white and deep etching can be achieved without corrosion or any detrimental effect to the component. The design applied can be almost anything that you could imagine and with the wide range of electrolytes that are available you should always achieve a high quality mark.

Strengths of the Ostling Etchmark electrolytic marking systems include :

Hand Marking Machines

Hand Marking Kits are used for small to medium batch production. These kits can be used with either long life photographic stencils for fixed information or stencil paper for variable information. Please select any of the links shown below to see a choice of different videos showing the equipment in use.

Semi Automatic Marking Machines

Semi Automatic machines are generally for medium to large batch production and due to their design and optional specialised jigging can be adapted to give excellent repeatability and high speed of marking. These machines can be upgraded to become fully automated if required.

Stencil paper production

Stencil paper is designed for use when very high levels of flexibility are needed. The designs can be produced quickly and very economically through the use of a desktop pc and dot matrix printer.
