Data Matrix 2D codes

Read data reliably even after many years.....
Directly applied 2D codes are read using a hand held scanner as well as with fixed camera systems. The hand held system is also available as a handy wireless BlueTooth version.
Not only electrolytic, but also laser and dot peened marks can be read securely in even the most difficult industrial environments.
The amount of data that can be contained in a 2D code compared to a 1D code (barcode) of the same size is considerably larger. A small code on an instrument can easily include many of the following items:
- Serial Numbers
- Employee data
- Date
- Time
- Part number
- Batch number
- Material composition
- Part/Instrument description
- Suppliers
- Etc...

- Compact and robust construction
- Target indicator
- Ergonomic design
- User friendly windows interface
The video shows an example of hand marking a stainless steel surgical instrument with a Data Matrix™ code using a long life photographically prepared stencil, suitable for medium to large batch coding. The code is then read using a camera, and relayed to a pc for translation.
